Data Dictionary
The following explains how we have defined each entry field. Where possible, we have mapped fields to the Dublin Core metadata standard. We are currently transitioning to the formats and vocabularies listed here, so some entries do not yet match the definitions here. Vocabularies we are working with include those maintained by The Getty Research Institute, the Library of Congress Name Authority Files, Homosaurus, and the World Historical Gazetteer.
